Default front lip question...smashed it up like a moron....

I just purchased my s2k roughly 2 months ago. It came with an OEM style carbon fiber front lip. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but it's def grown on me. A few days ago I scuffed it up quite a bit on a curb. Being that it came with the car, I'm not entirely sure where it came from. I need to get a replacement lip for it and I think I'm going to have to go with the same style since the paint looks rough underneath the existing lip. I want to ensure the new lip covers the same area as the current one. I found some on ebay that looks the same, but I want to know if any of you have had any experience with them. I don't want to order one, take it to a body shop to have it installed, and then have them call me telling me it won't fit.

Any idea of these lips fit good...if not, recommendations?

OEM, comes pre-painted and fits perfectly. Don't mess around with replicas, just do it right the first time.

I 'kind' of agree. The oem lip is nice, but things like lips get destroyed quite often and the oem lip is pricey as a wear item

However, my forcewerks cr lip fits like dick, and I wish I had spent the money On a real one(150ish dollars more used). It's a matter of cost and pride in your car, my replica is pretty cool, but every time I look at it- I'm ashamed of being a cheap ass

I'm always a proponent of OEM stuff, but I want the carbon fiber one cuz it looks cool with Silverstone Metallic. I don't want the body matched color.

And yes, I live in Philadelphia, it's my daily driver, and I drive A LOT for a living so the lip will certainly get it's fair share of wear and tear. I don't want to spent an arm and a leg on it.

I'd like to stick with the OEM style carbon fiber one...I just wan to order something that will fit nicely....anyone?

At first I was skeptical with aftermarket front lip but for the Seibon CF Ap2 lip, fitment is spot on. I got mine less than $300 after searching for OEM only to find they discontinue my color (Sebring). I saw another member car with polyurethane aftermarket lip, fitment is not too bad with color match you can't tell the different, but nothing beat oem if u can find it your car color

I found a Seibon ap2 lip in carbon fiber for roughly 350 or so. That's not bad. How much are the OEM color matched ones and where do you guys generally buy them from?

Well the nice thing about the oem is it is ABS plastic which is much more durable than carbon fiber. But it you are dead set on a carbon one Seibon will probably be your best bet. I would look into getting one of the lip protectors from Waspcomposit as well since it is likely that this will happen again if you drive the car that much.

I thought it over. I think I am going to go with an OEM one. The carbon fiber is delicate and can't be repaired easily.

How much does an OEM one go for? And what is the likelihood of me finding one that's already silverstone metallic?

Thanks
