with ap1 stoplight driving the 4.77s are the most fun. adding a 4.44 would add a little bit but 4.77s are a lot of fun...

Different gears have different advantages. 4.44's in my opinion are a little too much like the stock 4.10's when I drove a car with them. I drove a firends car with the 4.77's and I was immediately hooked.

I've had my 4.77's since January and they're a blast. Make driving the S2000 more fun on the surface streets and on the highway. Most people would say that they don't like the cruising RPM on the highway at 75-80MPH but it's not bad at all. I love my 4.77's.

i believe you can get kia final drive gears which are also 4.77. apparently you can get them from mazda as well.

question i have along the same lines is if i buy the kia/mazda gear and then get them cryo treated. do they become more brittle? (even though they become harder)
