Default Going from ap1 to ap2

Well the day has come my friends. I realize I want the looks of an ap2 but want to keep my 9k redline. And the car is paid off so I do not want car payments!

SO, since I buy so much at my local honda dealership and since they give me a great discount, I plan on picking up a AP2 front for now then working my way back

How easy is it to install a AP2 frnot on my AP1?
no cutting or modifying right? Just bolt off and bolt on right?

The stock ap2 lip is still expensive from them so what would you guys get, lip wise.
I remember a real nice replica that goes under the front, but I can't remember the name

I think the lip you're referring to is by sold by BaysonR; and while certainly 'nice' isn't the word I'd call it; it definitely is worth more than its low pricetag.

Yeah that's what I wanted and finally got mine completed. Ap2 bumpers, headlights, taillights, wheels, ect.. and love it.

For the front bumper you will have to grind or cut off the edges of the front crash bar. If you don't the bumper will go on, but will make spider cracks in the bumper in those spots over time. You only need to do the passenger side though and it's not a big deal at all. Also the ap1 splash shields won't line up 100% with the ap2 bumper. I got ap2 splash shields but they are expensive so most people don't do it. Out of all the bolts up there maybe 4-5 bolts will line up, and you can zip tie the rest and it will be fine. Other than that it will all work for the front bumper.

Also I got the Amuse style lip from BaysonR on my ap2 front right now and it looks great.

Get ready to spend some money! Once you start the conversion you can't stop, it's addicting... Suzuka is right, you will have to trim the bumper support to avoid the unsightly cracks on the new AP2 bumper. Thats just the start though. Next you have to find the AP2 headlights preferably with ballasts. Keep your eyes peeled and try to buy them from a part out if you want the best deal. Buying them new will rape your wallet. That conversion is simple as long as you get headlights, bulbs, and ballast intact. Just bolt and go. Follow the diagram on Ricks S2K to remove the bumper and replace the headlights. AP2 lips aren't cheap, but keep you eyes peeled on the For Sale section (which has been terrible lately, but that's beside the point). You'll find one and most likely have to get it repainted. Then come the AP2 taillights... "Spoonz" is selling a conversion harness so you dont have to splice your AP1 taillight harness, I think its $65. Then you'll have to trim the unibody to get them to fit. The AP2 rear bumper requires you to fabricate new mounts. I think that's about it... My car is a 2001 and the AP2 conversion is definitely worth the change esthetically while keeping the 9K redline.

There was but the pics in those threads don't work anymore since this so called "upgrade" on the site. There isn't really anything to it though. There is the big metal crash bar (the one that has the white foam thing on) and on the passenger side just grind the edges of the bar down some.

Yeah the second one is the one I have, and nope it's not an OEM style lip. The one I have is the APR style lip.

This is an OEM ap2 lip:

This is mine:
