Default Gold to White

Thought I'd post some pictures of my gold to white wheels project.

Thinking about painting the brake calipers, either Gold, blue, or red. Any recommendations or experience with what looks good on a GPW?

Here are the wheels off the car.

A little prep work

1st Coat

5th coat

Will post a before and after mounted shot this evening I hope.

That must get so filthy once on a car because of the plasti dip texture...i have gloss white buddyclub P1 SF and only reason i can keep them clean is because gloss is easy to wipe down.

I will have to let you know. I hope not. I think I will need to spray on some never wet to mitigate this problem.

My ap2v2s are plastidipped white. I barely drive the car and its still a pain to keep them clean. A good wheel cleaner is your friend

I had my AP2V1s plasti-dipped white and the texture made it hard to clean. The front rims were always dirty. Looks good though!

yeah plastidip texture sucks. but you can minimize this if you're spraying rattle can by spraying up close. Don't do light coats.. that will make the texture very bad. Just do 50% overlaps from about 6 inches away and keep it moving so it doesn't drip or run.

Yeah I found that the more aggressive I was with spraying the wheels the texture was a lot smoother.
