That looks incredible!! I would love to have that treatment done to my trunk. Don't have the patience though!

^You're closer to me than that fella in Long Beach, Mississippi!

I'll charge 140 dollars for the labor, and you purchase the paint/liner you want to use.. I'll do everything else on my expense

Yup yup!! And my 'labor' includes, but is not limited to the following:

-my gas + miles put onto my car for the drive to you
-my flat labor
-my amazing sense of humor and conversive personality
-plus, you get to stare at my amazing car for a few hours while I'm there..

I'd say that's well worth the money hahaha, jk.. but yea, I wouldn't mind!! If you were closer, I'd do it for under $100!!!

I'd say so. It looks really clean like that. I'm wondering if some of those holes I see around the jack/tool well go all the way through, or are they covered on the bottom? I not complaining, but if I were to stitch-weld the trunk, I would also fill the holes and gring them flush.

You've inspired me to try and tackle this one, though! I'm really digging the painted (and visible) strut bar!

Those holes do not go all the way through, most of the un-plugged holes in the trunk area are used for the OE carpet/lining snap-in clips/christmas trees. There are however, two holes at the very bottom of the jack/tool well.. They are plugged from the factory, but can be popped out with some finesse (rubber mallet, a blunt center-punch, and a slotted-head screwdriver.. lol), these are in place to drain the that center well area, if water somehow got in there.. Also, there are a bunch of them on the bottom of the chassis, that go into the interior/cockpit, in case of the same problem were to arise inside of your car!!

I've pretty much torn my whole car apart just fiddling with it.. haha, you learn some pretty neat stuff! lol

Oh, and the other day, I filled up that center jack/tool well with about 20lbs of ice, and a 12 pack of corona's with some waters... worked perfectly as an ice chest!! hahaha, just sucks when it melts though.. and you can't figure out how to pull the drain plug(s) until you get back home, 100+ miles later of sloshing around in traffic.. hahaha

Thanks again for the comments fellas! Glad ya'll like it!

I plan on doing the same with my drivers-side carpet....
Have a look

lol

Besides, the carpet + deadening adds anywhere from 0.25-0.50" between the bottom of your feet and the interior floor pan itself.. So by removing the carpet and sound deadening, you'd also incread your leg room a little as well (if you're a 6'5" driver, like myself.. haha).. But for the most part, I get tired of looking at that nasty shit. I've done about 20 autox events, 10+ track days, and hundreds of mountain runs/drives in my car... and on top of it all.. I bought it brand new back in Jan 2006, and this morning I just rolled over 97,500 miles. EEEEEK! Four sets of floor mats later... plus about a 7"x11" hole in my carpet, that's grown from a 1" diameter heel-hole, over the course of about the last 10 mountain runs, and 3 autocrosses.. so figure, 5 months.. lol

*edit* being 6'5" and wearing a size 14, sometimes 15 shoe.. doesn't necessarily help much either... haha!
