greddy e manage ulitmate users...
hi guys! i just installed my greddy emanage ultimate and il be having my ap1 dyno tuned and street tuned on wenesday. i just wanna ask about the oem ecu re learn thingy..... how ofetn do you have to rest the ecu?? and once i get my emanage tuned will the ecu relearn ???do i have to reset the ecu? what do i have to do once the stock ecu learnd about the emanage?? can i just remove the battery negative just to reset the ecu or do i have to plug it again into the laptop to enter the the tuned emanage program again?? thanks! i really need your help guys! thanks!
no relearning like the Apexi, just make sure the jumpers on the motherboard are properly set or you will burn out coilpacks.
Tuning is also saved into the ecu, regardless if you remove power or not, it will remember it forever.

thanks so much sir! because i had read somwhere by search on this forum that you have to do this:
If the Ultimate is installed and tuned correctly you will not loose your tune and the factory ECU will not relearn .
Adjustment should be made post ecu via injector and ignition , Not via the MAP . You need to log factory fuel trim when you install the E-manage with a scan tool . Then adjust the base setting acordingly till the fuel trim is stable .Then you can tune everything in open loop (WOT ) If you try and tune things in closed loop it the factory ecu will compensate .
They scan tool will tell you if your have set something incorrect as you will see the fuel trims change if your are doing something wrong .

The stock ecu will relearn the fuel trims as you go and can lead to the tune leaning back out to 14.7 across the board. This is obviously a bad thing if you're boosted. Tuning the EMU takes DAYS, not hours. I'm suffering because of it right now. Your tuner needs to understand exactly how the s2k's ecu works, and that is more aggressive than most at trimming fuel. I honestly find the stock/emu pair is too unpredictable, and am now looking at a stand alone system.
Yep. The tuner just needs to know how to adjust for fuel trims like you stated above. I just haven't had any luck with it. I'm moving on simply because I'm tired of messing with it. many have had success with the emu. Good luck.

hi guys! i just got my greddy EMU tuned last wed. i know that the stock ecu of the ap1 s2000 is very intelligent that it gets to re learn the changes on the engine and ecu but my qustion is will the stock ecu relear and reset the WOT tune on the greddy emu??? will it bring back the WOT settings to stock or it cant relearn it??? thanks!
The stock ecu WILL NOT relearn with the e-manage ultimate. This is why it is far superior to any vafc or neo.
A vafc will lose partial tune over time, the em-u will not. A stand alone will not either.
If it was installed correctly, you will not need to reset anything. ever.
and yes, i have an em-u installed. I was one of the first in so-cal to do so. It's been on for over 7 months now.
