Cool Greddy SE exhaust system

Greetings

I have an ap1 03, with upgraded cams and ecu. I'm currently running oem mufflers and invidia test pipe and K&N FIPK.

I need a better flowing exhaust to improve the cams performance, since I feel exhaust is holding some power. (When I bought the car it had invidia N1 on it, it was louder but also felt more responsive)

Problem is I need a stock look muffler that needs to be quiet! Cops around here love to issue tickets for modified exhaust. (got one on my very first week of ownership due to invidias, had to go to the court)

Now.

I lined up some options, I searched and watched clips of them.

and so far these were my conclusions.

Fujitsubo Legalis R- Too quiet, and piping is almost same as stock, so only improvement is weight. ***no go***
Asm Type S dual exhaust. Quiet, very good looking but PRICY!!! $ 2k without shipping. *** out of budget**
T1R Em duals, didn't like much the sound and tips, price is so so.
Greddy SE, Nice looking, 70mm to 60, sounds is nice and infosays is not few decibels above stock.

I found over youtube few vids of and s2k with same invidia test pipe and fipk filter, and so far sound ok. Tried to PM him (on youtube) but no answer Yet.

here's the vids&feature=related&feature=related&feature=related

What do you guys think?
For those who owns this exhaust...
Does it have any drone? (can't hear any in the vids)
Have you been pulled over for them?
Performance feeling?

I'm pretty much set to but them, but want to be sure about sepnding 1.5k (shipped)

Thank you in advance.

I've only heard this exhaust on the car (2004 AP2) of a local member, for whatever reason his SE Dual is loud. When I listened to it he didn't have a testpipe on the car. I thought it was loud, but not unbearable.

I agree with some of your assessment of the other exhausts though. Imho, the Fuji could pass for the stock exhaust (b/c it's so quiet), the ASM - no idea (never heard it b4), a couple local members have the T1R EM duals and I think it sounds good; quiet at low rpm and a nice tone in Vtec, I can't stand those tips though. If they came with any other tips I think I would buy that exhaust (and they'd probably sell more of them too!).

I have the Greddy SE stock header and cat. Car has a really nice sound from inside, and actually seems like it would be louder from outside. Had friends drive the car while I drove next to them and honestly on hard acceleration I heard the K&N FIPK intake way more than the exhaust.

No drone, never been pulled over, you can hear it coming down the road but its a good deep sound. When I drive past cops I tend to be light on the throttle just to avoid being pulled over, not sure if its really a problem around here or not but better safe than sorry.

Kinda reminds me of a G35 driving by...

Hope this helps!

I didn't like the blue tips either so I polished it clean..

T1R may look funny on an Ap1 but that's what a rear diffuser is for.

I recommend ASM 70m or better yet try out the litespec titanium exhaust cheaper than the greddy se.. Greddy se sounds really nice too

these also sound nice. 70m Invidia q300

If you don't care about single, check out ARK's new single exhaust(its not in market yet). I like how it looks(same like singe greddy SE)

Not fan of invidias, I had N1 ones and drone is crazy.

They usually have this Round resonators that are not functional to me.

I've seen the ASM but it's way over my budget, $2,200 without shipping.

My goal is STOCK LOOK, DUAL 70mm, QUIET, NOT over 1200.

OP sorry I did not get back to you. Those are my videos.

Check out these couple of threads. The first one I created to figure out which direction to go. Sorry its a long thread, but there is a lot of good info there. I know I did some long write-ups on the Greddy SE, and the T1R while i owned it for a few days.

Here are more reviews by myself and other owners.

Here is my thread on how I removed the burnt tip look.

Basically, the Greddy SE is just amazing!!!
