oh man, i just got one too. the price was good, so i decided that i might as well try it.

HKS is best sounding exhaust out there IMO.

Does the HKS still have poor build quality and rusting issues?

The SE definitely has a good about of drone. I haven't with a 70mm test pipe and going up hills on highway around the 3-4k range sucks!! People who say this exhaust is quiet like stock have never driven it at all rpms ranges or are going deaf already haha. Definitely loud!
I have a sc so might make it a little louder not sure but it is loud! Inside and outside of the car. Sounds incredible from outside of the car I think though and looks 10x better than the HKS dual.

My greddy SE dual has gotten a good bit of rust over all the "stainless steel" piping. Very unfortunate for such an expensive exhaust.
The invidia test pipe still looks new under there.

HKS fixed this issue a while ago.

Greedy SE Dual (with stock cat) owner here. Definite drone at 3-4K RPM, but not too bad. Overall, I wouldn't classify the exhaust as quiet, but it's definitely not loud compared to some others. From sound, to looks, to quality, to performance, I think it's the best exhaust for the S2K. Highly recommend it.

I have the SE with a 70mm berk high flow cat. It's not a quiet exhaust, even after the first 1,000 miles to 'break it in'. But, damn, it sounds awesome in WOT!
And letting off the throttle returns a nice popping pur. It really makes the S sound like a race car. And it's a super high quality and amazing looking exhaust.

HOWEVER, the drone is for real. To the point that my wife doesn't even want to go in the car anymore. It gives her a headache. And since we do a lot of top down driving, I need to give up the SE exhaust in the next week or so, and will be posting it in the classifieds. It only has 1,200 miles and is in excellent shape. But if you're sensitive to bass like my wife, it's not the exhaust for you.

I'm going to replace with a Mugen.

Buy my go tuning greddy se dual!!! I love it it sounds great, but I'm going for a different set up 850$ and we can discuss shipping! Took it off last night actually cleaned it with soap and water and it shined up like this. Drone isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I'm running a 70mm test pipe as well.

I've had the HKS for 6.5 years now. The exhaust had been great and no issues of rusting.

Agree, the drone is there it's just a matter of personal tolerance to it. I have yet to take the wife for a ride. Im sure she'll hate it. To me it is fine and even better with the test pipe.
