You don't have to have the stock grill to mount this one do you?

nope, mine broke every mounting point for the clips. if i remember right you could cut out a considerable amount of the side vents too. you'd just need to trim out a little area where they mount.

So, can you get rid of the side covers if you want to without cutting? You'd get more air that way.
Not really. People seem to assume that.

Join the "no front grill" club. With my first bumper, I hit a 5 gallon bucket on the freeway that ripped off all the grill tabs.

lol yep, fell off the back of a truck on the interstate when i was on my way to visit my parents. I was doing between 70-80. Knocked the grill right into the bumper and rattled around till i pulled it out.

The best part was my mother told me i needed to get a replacement to protect my radiator from big rocks and stuff. I told her seriously?! it couldnt handle pants, you think it will protect from rocks?
I came back home on that trip when it was kind of foggy and she called on my way home. I mentioned the foggy weather. She asked if my top was down to which i replied of course! she told me i should put it up incase a deer tries to jump in. Good ole mom-logic.

haha yeah i know what you mean. these cars take damage easily. i had an expedition "tap" me one day going about 4 or 5 mph in a parking lot when it was raining and it did $5000 in damage to my car and nothing to his. it was his company car to boot.
