Default Hard Top Creaking/Rubbing

I just got a FRP mugen replica from one of the vendors here and the creaking is driving me insane. It doesn't just creak going up drive ways or when the car is uneven, which I heard is normal, it creaks going over any little bump or even when I make a sharp turn. To be honest I'm not positive the creaking from the hardtop itself or its from the top rubbing on the car. Although the point where the top meets the car has been greased so I wouldn't think its that. The top is installed and sealed correctly (after many days of tampering with it) as their is little wind noise.

Anybody have any solutions, or no what the problem is?

Edit: To clarify, the creaking is only from the passenger side.

The driver side has a minor rattle which I can't figure out where its from. I've checked and rechecked all the bolts. It's not from the front as its perfect there - no rattles, wind noise, anything.

Yep all greased. I was thinking the bolts maybe too tight on the top since I bolted them as I tight as I could as I didn't want the top to slide up or the brackets to rattle.

I had the exact same problem as you. Did you push down on the top when bolting? What stopped the constant creaking for me was letting the top rest naturally on the car when bolting down. Now it only makes noise over rough pavement or when the chassis flexes on uneven surfaces like mall entrances.

Yeah, in fact I had a buddy sit on the top while I bolted it down this eliminated my wind noise but probably why I'm getting more creaking.

Just bolting it in without pushing it down, did you get it sealed correctly? No wind noise? It seems like this would lead to a lot of wind noise for me.

The hard top is prob not far enough forward
Does it creak on one side or both? You need to find where it's squawking I thought it was the brackets at first

I should have clarified. Its only creaking from the passenger side.

I did. I noticed tighten the side bolts made it worst. I suspect its because its pulling the sides of the top in closer to the body which makes more contact with the side of car. It's fully greased though.
