You didn't mention of your hardtop is OEM or aftermarket, what you need varies a little depending on which. Assuming the hardtop has the front latches already attached, all that you need for it to safely stay on the car is the side brackets. If it is an OEM hardtop and you want the rear defroster to work, you may need an additional wiring harness to connect it. To prevent rattling of the front latches and wind noise, you will want the strikers that are made for the hardtop, but this isn't 100% necessary. You can buy aftermarket hardtop fitting kits from vendors on this forum, but they are not as quick and convenient as the OEM kit for hardtop removal. The OEM fitting kit is ridiculously expensive, so I made sure the seller included it when I bought my hardtop from them.

Hi thanks for your help.
Yes I'm sure my hard top is a OEM one, has rear heated screen and the front latches.

Also do you have to remove the soft top and frame to be able to fit the hard top?

Struggling to find a fitting kit in the UK for a good price.

You do not need to remove the soft top and frame to be able to fit the OEM hardtop or most aftermarket hardtops in general.

so you have the front latches but are missing the rear mounting hardware? there are 3 different ways you can go about this. you can either source out oem rear hardware or the cheaper route is to go with the izzy brackets(not the race one if you want to keep the soft top in) or aftermarket brackets are available from venders.

and no you do not need to remove your soft top, just have to put it down
