Default Head and Tail light help!

So I was wondering for you guys opinion on what to do with my head and tail lights... The douche that owned the car before my blacked out the tail lights and put that black lid shit on the head lights. the ex had a great idea of using a sander after I told him not to. my poor baby...I think the headlights and possibly the passanger tail light might be saveable but not sure. Was wondering if trying to fix them somehow would be possible or if the options of buying just the lens or the full head/tail lights would be best.

The rears look like they might not be salvageable but it doesn't hurt to try. best bet would be to wetsand them down by hand starting with 500 or 800 grit and working your way to 3000 grit. Then use a plastic polish like Plastx. If that doesn't work you can see if you can find someone selling just the lenses.

The sander was definately a bad idea. Over heating the plastic by sanding too quickly can ruin the plastic all the way through. Wet sanding as StormTroopinAp2 suggested is the only way they might be fixed. Take your time with each one. If it were mine, I would remove one light at a time from the car and work on it where you could be comfortable and not rushed. Wet sand in one direction with each grit of sand paper. When you change to a higher grit/different direction, sand away all the marks from the direction you were previously sanding. Make sure to keep the surface wet the whole time.

try to save headlights(wet sand with 1500 -> 2000 grit then polish) but i would look on ebay for second hand tail lights..they will be around $100-150 for pair and for that kinda money i think the rears are no worth the hassle (and will never look 100%). I actualy have a spare set AP1 (without chrome rings) which you could have for the lenses swap but iam in NZ so not worth the cost in shipping.
