Default Headlight mod DIY thread?

After searching, and going through the sticky's, I don't see it ?

It was the thread, where the guy takes AP2 headlights, and puts in clear LED's in place of the amber, and also sprays the amber sides inside the light black?

Anyone still have that, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I am subscribed to it. I will attempt it down the line, but its on my list after the car is paid off.

No problem. If you do it, post pics!

It's not looking good.

I stopped and picked up a heat gun, and although it heats up the glue really easy, it gets messy fast, and I can see it being a HUGE mess, not to mention it's still really tough to get apart..

I'm not feeling to well about this...

Baking them in the oven is easier than using a heat gun. Scary but easier

250 for 10 mins.

Nothing. Hardly even melted the glue this time.

Really? I did mine at 215 and got it apart. Are you using anything to help pry it open?

Hrmm I know that my headlights were ap1 but is there that much of a difference between ap1 and ap2 headlights as far as taking them apart?
