Default Headlight problem see within with photos

Hey guys, I just finished converting my clear lenses/diffusers to amber ones and something bad happened . Long story short a little brother decided to up the degrees of the oven when I went to use the restroom. Any how, one side turned out like this:

In the day:

I went on with installing them because this is my daily driver. My question is, is this reversible? I don't think it will be.. but if its not, is there any places that sell the plastic cover thing seperately or will I have to buy a new headlight just to get that piece that is white. Thanks!

If there is anyone that has the passenger plastic cover lens and is willing to ship to Australia for the right price, let me know

I have a VERY SLIGHT phenomena going on right under the projectors in my headlight. It looks to me the paint inside just bubbled up a little so I would imagine you could always repaint it flat black. I was thinking of doing it one day and also, possibly painting the chrome shroud around the projector red to give the car and extra mean appearance.

There is no way to fix tht. The plastic has been melted and air got trapped in the plastic. You will need to replace the headlight.

Okay thanks, theres no way I can find the plastic bit by itself? I don't really want to buy a headlight just for the plastic bit.. ^^ Thanks

I wonder if you could sand it out of there. I recently took the hazing out of the lights on my van with a 3M headlight restoration kit ($20) and it worked well. I know you have a heat issue but it may be worth a try. Since your issue is at the edge of the light next to the fender, I'd take the light out of the car before you sand it.

It is potentially fixable.

I accidently had my heat gun too close to my taillight and had a similar bubbling issue. thankfully it did not go all the way through the plastic and I was able to sand it out with 1000,1500,2000,M105 and M205 and polish it back to almost 100%. The plastic itself is still very slightly warped but no casual looker would even notice.

The headlights are sold as assemblies, so you won't be able to buy just the plastic bezel inside the light. You could try to find someone selling a light on ebay and use that for parts or sand the bezel down and repaint it like others have suggested. If you take your time, you should be able to sand and paint the bezels without any problem and have them looking good as new.

Damn.
This is why I'm terrified to try to mod my lights.
That sucks man.
I saw someone post some covers for sale not too long ago. You could prob do a search and find them.

I sure would love the "naked" look and paint my headlight shells though.

The first one turned out perfect on 100-110 degrees it's just my brother turned up the heat haha. I guess just keep an eye on the temperature and it should be fine. Just to make things clear, I'm talking about the plastic bit on the outside where its white not the black bubbles on the inside, not too fussed about that. BobbyC you saw someone post the plastic headlight covers? Cool, I'll try look for them and see if its the right part i need
