There is no better or worse, just personal preference.

Heavier will reduce the notchy feeling some have. I like a light alu shit nob

HEAVY

i love the stock knob in the s2000 based on looks alone and didnt want to swap out for my weighted shift knob, but once i did i can honestly say that the stock knob will never go back in

I prefer heavier. Much easier to shift with imo. less effort to get it in gear

It's definitely a personal preference as to which is better. With a lighter knob you will feel more of the shift and it going into gear etc. it will take more effort and will feel notchier. With a heavy knob it really smooths things out quite and bit and makes the shift easier due to the added weight assisting the throw.

Let me know if I can help if you decide to go the heavier shift knob route.

black works racing 440g knob here and like it

looks STOCK minus a black ghosted BWR on both sides

put it on a scale its just shy of 1lb the feel is much better then stock, it really smoothed it out and now you just have to start the shift and the weight of the knob pretty much finishes shifting for you

for $38 shipped off ebay

used the stock s2k in my 93 civic everyone asks me how the hell does it have a 6 speed LOL

Just get Moddiction's shift knobs. Over a lb each, countersunk, great finishes, engraving. What more do you want?

As posted earlier, it's personal preference, but it also depends on the shifter IMO. After trying a shitload of combinations; OEM, AxialFlow and Moddiction shifters with ten different knobs ranging from an ultra light Delrin to a 460 gm TWM Abrams, my verdict is...

OEM shifter: Voodoo
AxialFlow shifter: TWM Abrams (with rubber bushing between the knob and shifter for noise reduction)
Moddiction shifter: PasswordJDM billet aluminum

Personal favorite setup: Moddiction shifter + Moddiction extender + Augerresources Delrin = hot knife through creamy butter
