Bliss-
This thread was started by a gentleman that wanted to know who the car belonged to and his questions have been answered. The car is/was mine, the gearbox stays in the same spot, the weight difference is negligible and yes the rear end will hold up for a while and yes it will fail sooner or later. Now you on the other hand just got your S and feel like you have all the answers to this swap. In fact you have not done one to date. You have tried to get everyone in an uproar with all of your comments about how the car cant handle the torque and is going to twist apart and how a turbo car would eat this swap alive and so on and so on. So lets try and set the facts in play. The car needs very little mods to get the motor to fit, so nothing is going to fall apart. This car is more than capable of beating a C5 Zo6 from the line and has done so, with a bone stock LS1 motor. Like Ruut said there will always be someone faster out there and I'm sure that a turbo S2000 with enough boost and tuned right might be able to beat this car in a straight line but that's turbo vs NA, so if I was to put on a turbo than it would loose once again. Yes there is enough room for a turbo, there are some out there already. Some with front mount turbos and one with rear under car turbos. And you can do a S/C if you would like, those have been done as well. So I ask you that if you don't have any real knowledge of this swap or the S in general please stay quiet and just read along or ask REAL questions about it. In mean time do yourself a favor and just Google V8 S2000 and check out some of the videos, pictures, and other sites about the swap. As far as your question about no data to back up anything about this swap im guessing you spent all your time trying to find that one video of a turboed S beating a vette that you missed the videos of a swapped S on the track or doing the 1/4 mile. So here you go just a few. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE8LSBHFaQ0 and yes that's a S/C sticking up through the hood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDg2Du__R-o . Don't get me wrong here I love s2000's I' have owned 3 and two V8 ones but I just cant stand ignorant people.

I'm not going anywhere. This thread has gone awry that's why I suggested deleting it.

So you create an abortion of a car. Hmm lets see now its some kinda red headed step child no one will except not the s2000 forums nor corvette Forums. So go over to the V8 s Forums where this topic belongs and you guys can compare peckers.

I have no ill feelings towards any of you and your ill comments. I raised legit issues and you resort to name calling. I have tried to take the high road. I respect the fact you aborted the f20 22c Just dont agree with it.

Peace love you all.
Quit trolling.

I'm generally against V8 swaps in general. But There's something about an LS powered S2K that makes me excited. I'd never do the swap, personally, but I'd give anything to be able to see and ride in/drive one. All the ones posted so far are very clean!

I understand, I was initially considering doing a S/C or Turbo on my old S but I had this chassis. I bought the chassis that had been in an accident and was stripped from a buddy thinking I would build a race car. I kept looking at options and I had been hanging out with Xyster and helping a bit with his first LS swap car so I thought WTF lets do it. I sold my other S and started working on this one.

MY old S

This is what the build car looked like when I got it.

I almost did a V8 swap on my old 240, The idea of such a light car with so much torque excites me. Although I went the turbo route with my S very cool build here
