help - AP2 tail lights = AP1 tail light ?

help - AP2 tail lights = AP1 tail light ?
i hit a barrier on the track just the other day. quick question as search didnt turn up anything. WIll the AP1 tail light works as a replacement for my AP2? thanks!

^ he's talking about AP2 vs AP1 tail lights, not v2 vs v1.
you'd need to cut into the sheet metal to mount the AP1's, it's a bit of work.
the plugs are also different, you'd need to either modify your connectors or buy a harness and cut the new plugs like i did.
finally, there's an extra connection that goes to the bulbs on the sides of the tails that the AP2 doesn't have, so you'll be missing those lights.

so am i correct to say I can order a AP1 taillight, and with some workcomes with extra done on my AP2 car, the taillight will fit, and just that the AP1 taillight has extra connections that i will not need to use. ?

no stock for AP2 and got myself a AP1 instead. On close inspection, everything looks exactly like a AP2. down to the serial numbers engraved on the glass.
ap2 tail lights have 3 circles..
ap1 have 2 ..
