I'm looking for something affordable and not too outrageous. I don't drive the car "a lot" or on a track, just street use. I'm not looking to "slam" it, just get rid of the wheel gap, I've got stock AP1s and I don't want any issues with rubbing. It corners amazingly already, I just want to be able to lower/raise it at will.
Any help you can throw my way I'd appreciate.

Thanks

You need to define "lower/raise it at will"

I have PSS9's and love them for the street. Easily adjustable dampners, within your price range and have brought the car down to a decent gap on stock wheels without any rubbing issues. Covers all your needs but one.

They are not the most height adjustable coilover, as far as range of adjustability

I don't want to slam the car, I just want to close the gap, make it not look like a monster truck. I'd LIKE to have the ability to adjust the height for the future when I put different wheels on it and also b/c my driveway is a motherf-er and I don't want to buy springs and have it sit too low.

If you're not worried about adjusting the compression/rebound you could go with the Bilstein PSS kit (ride height adjustable) and save a few bucks.

Best bang for your buck. Street coilovers with assist springs.

Another option is keep the stock dampers and use the CT Engineering springs that come with adjustable perches for height control. $5-600 if I remember.

What are your thoughts on D2 or Ksport? I have an option to get those new for around $700...

there's a reason they're $700.

I've ridden in a couple cars/driven a couple cars with D2s. Garbage is the ONLY word that could come to mind.

The problem with the cheap ass coilovers is that they're so one dimensional. They might net faster lap times on a smooth track for the first few months.

BUT:

The damping sucks.

The spring rates are usually not properly chosen.

The damping sucks.

...my other 5 reasons involve the damping sucking.

The longevity really isn't there either. They might ride well for a few months and then BAM...one day you're throwing up your lunch because you hit some undulations in the road.

It's mostly because the damping sucks, you see.

There will be people chiming in to say how rad their D2s/other garbage coilovers are. But they've probably never had a car with a nice setup. Just like if you've never eaten steak, you might think burgers are the best thing that could happen to beef. Same scenario.

Stay classy from the get-go.

GTmotoring is a local company. I know one of the guys that works there. It seems like their coilovers are actually pretty decent.

I'd rather spend $1500 on something nice than waste $700 on trash that I'm going to regret getting later.
