Default Help with hood dampers.

Is there a picture thread that tells how to install them. I've searched but I'm coming up empty right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

There have been a couple of discussion threads.

They're really simple to install.

Bolt the black plates instead of the OEM plates to the hood. L is left, R is right.

Screw the rods together.

Compress the pistons a couple times on your carpet floor to loosen them up.

Unclip the retaining clips and put the socket into the ball of the heads. Clip the retaining clips back on and you're done.

So do the black things go on the actual hood? Or on the fender?

Black things with the plate and ball go on the hood itself.

I don't remember what goes on the fender.
