Default Help me identify this shifter

I just purchased a 2005 Rio Yellow S2000. I din;t like the shifter handle on it currently - appearance or function. Here is what was on the car:

I bought round OEM CR knob, but it doesn't fit right. Is this a different shaft, or does the CR "ball" require a different shaft?

Thanks

cr should be a direct bolt and to those shift knobs they look a bit "weird" lol

Do you have a nut on the shifter or no? The CR knob should work.

Any better pics of the shift lever? Doesn't look oem from that pic but hard to see. All blurry.
CR knob is direct screw on to the oem shifter.

It doesn't have a nut. I think that's the biggest issue. I think it must be the stock shifter (the other one was epoxy'd on, that is what you can see on the shift lever), I was just surprised how much of the thread was still exposed with the CR "ball" on. I guess I will try to find a nut that will fit, or go with a countersunk model. Any suggestions?

Ah ok. Yeah a nut would hide some of the threads then.
If you want a fully countersunk weighted shift knob let me know. I sell a bunch of different types that will sit very low and add some nice weight to it for a smoother shift.

I ended up using the CR knob, without the nut (which I don't have anyways). I used a bunch of red threadlocker, we will see how long it lasts.

Excuse the pollen attack...

Should have used blue. Red usually needs to be torched to remove.
