Default Which HFC?

Hello All,

I'm currently debating which berk hfc to get (i've seen this posted 3223439 times on here and i know its beat to death).

I have read multiple threads, including gernby's about exhaust flow/pressure, inner pipe diameter, torque curves, etc.. all based upon which exhaust set up that is chosen.

I'm sure this wont make THAT much of a difference but i cannot decide whether to run a 63.5mm or 70mm.

My current set up is a OEM header and cat, with a greddy se dual. I plan to run a stock tune for the time being as well.

I understand the whole gradual increase in pipe diameter to keep a consistent torque curve and resonance, which makes me lean towards the 63. But most places I've read, people with similar set ups are running a 70mm hfc.

I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing this topic, but i wanted some input.

Thanks in advance,
Smokey

Greddy SE is 70mm piping. Get the 70mm cat to match.

I know the test pipe yields the best power with a tune, but I'm trying to avoid the smell and it sounds a little too raspy / ricey IMO.

Plus, I can pass emissions check with a hfc in ohio.

Thanks for the advice so far guys, I'll be ordering the 70 today.

I have 63.5 that I purchased before I got my SE. I'm likely going to get a 70mm HFC in the near future.

There's a 70mm listed for sale in the classifieds right now:

Call berk. Get a 63mm transition to 70mm. That is the best for your setup. I'm using the test pipe with those specs and it's great.
