Default HKS 75MM Single - Oddly loud...?

I have been told my HKS 75mm single is pretty loud. I have heard a couple other s2000s with it on there and theirs were very quiet most the time. I have a Berk Ceramic Header -> Invidia 70mm Test Pipe -> HKS 75mm Single

I have quite a bit of drone around 3-4.5k... which doesn't seem to happen to the other guys with the same exhausts. And hearing mine next to theirs they seem to be much quieter. and this comment was mentioned by a couple people. Mine is at around 5000-7500 miles on it. They have varying test pipes and high flow cats.

Just trying to get an idea of why mine is so loud. Its almost as bad as my Skunk2 Megapower Duals were... and those sucked.

I know the general topic has been beat to death, just looking for fresh input.

Check for exhaust leaks.

the header mixed with the test pipe and large diameter exhaust seem to me that it should be decently loud....

Yeah I think the header has to do with it, I had a HKS single and thought it was the quietest exhaust I've ever owned.

I've got one with a 70mm test pipe. The exhaust is just kinda like that.

so would putting an OEM header on it quiet it down? I have to daily drive it for a while since my daily started drinking a couple quarts of oil a month. or is it a combination of the header and test pipe? I should have a berk HFC floating around. would oem header be enough or should i put both back on? i dont have an oem cat.

EDIT: apparently i have an AP2 header in the garage, idk where my ap1 went, it shouldnt matter too much on sound would it?

A buddy of mine has the HKS single with the stock header and a HFC and it isnt very loud at all. I don't think switching from a TP to a HFC will do too much, there is really only a difference in sound and not volume between the two...

I will look for any loose bolts and tighten up tomorrow.
if that doesnt help i'll try some copper sealant on the exhaust mating points...
if that doesnt help i'll put the header on it and try it...
