Default How to Authenticate J's Wing?

Hi,

I am looking to buy a J's wing and the seller is a bit of a distance away. How do I authenticate real vs fake J's GT wing (yes i googled)? I know Voltex wing has a serial number on the side, but not J's. Other than the mounting on the wing is dry carbon (while the rest of the wing is wet), is there any other way to authenticate? I asked for pics and will upload once I get it.

Thanks!

As you have said the mountings on the wing should be dry carbon. Js wings also have a serial number on the ends (cant remember if it was both ends). Some reps dont even fill in the end and leave holes to peak into the middle of the wing. However besides those things I do not thing there is any other way to tell.

Yea, thats the best way. Dry carbon mounts, and serial numbers.

Thanks Fellows Member. So I am assuming the serial number is on where the side flap is mounted. Also attached below is a video of the wing. The mounting base to the trunk doens't look right? From photos I seen online, it usally made out of plastic, but this one is made of carbon fiber? Also the sticker on the flap doesn't look right either?

Yea, that wing is a rep. The bases in carbon arent what confirmed it. It was the mounts below the foil and how they are a glossy carbon rather than a dry (matte) carbon
