Default How can i patch rips/tears in soft top?

I have stress tears/rips on each of my soft top that are about a half inch in length. I just noticed that inside my cabin, driving on the highway... it is LOUD AS HELL!!!

I plan on replacing my '01 plastic window soft top with a replacement glass top... but do not have the money for one now, and am worried that it is going to rip more.

Where can i find a repair/patch kit for the top?? Also... is our top made of canvas or what material?

thanks guys!!

I just went to Hancock fabrics and bought a foot of canvas/ vinyl blend material (its pretty thick stuff) in black and then went to home depot and picked up a product called "goop". I cut small squares for each side of the top where the holes were and applied a generous amount of goop to the top and canvas material. Let that set for 24 hours.
