Default How to fix the holes on the soft top...

Hi@
I have been riding my s2000 for a while and found out there are few holes and rips on the soft top. I do not know how the rain did not get in the car but I decided to cover it up by myself. It was not a big hole so i just super glowed the remainder of holes but ended up with failure after I put the tops down. is there any kind of product that makes my problem very easy? The previous owner put some kind gum looking object on the soft top and it never gets taken out and stays very firm.
Anybody know this, please comment.
Thank you

I used something I got at a fabric store call duck cloth and a fabric glue made by Beacon adhesives. Ill take some pics and write some info down for you tonight.
