Default How i will be doing 4.77 gears

As some of you guys seen, ive been posting alot about 4.77 gears. I wanted to buy the parts myself and send it to a local shop to install my fd. I would like to share with all you guys my process and exactly how much i spent and where i bought my stuff. As of now, i just ordered some oem parts from majestic. Part numbers below:

91201-pcz-003
91202-pcz-003....x2
91001-pcz-003
91002-pcz-003
90201-pcz-003
90403-pcz-003

Total $172 SHIPPED.

The gears will be bought used on ebay for $200 SHIPPED. They are from the kia sportage 4x4.

I emailed WEIR PERFORMANCE about their soild sleeve and shims. From their website, its $55 for the sleeve and shims. Theres no option to purchase these on the site so i had to email them about purchasing them. I hope they get back to me about them. Ive never heard about them before so any review or info about their stuff is appreciated.

As for the install, i have a friend of a friend of a friend who was a master tech from honda. He does all my honda things that i cant do. Example: replaced my 5th gear because it kept popping out, replaced all my synchros, and changed the tran and diff fluid for $1050. I drove the car to him friday afternoon and picked up my car sunday night. So hes pretty good at what he does. Anyways, i asked him about my diff and he says he will do it for $200 if i bring my diff. I called other local shops around and they charged $400. So i trust my mechanic more since hes been very helpful in the past. So as of now the prices so far are

$172 majestic
$55 weir performance (not sure about shipping cost yet)
$200 ebay for 4.77 gear
$200 labor install

Total at the end will be about $627. Ill keep this post updated as much as possible.
