Hi friends across the pond.

I have a friend staying in california for a few weeks so he's kindly volunteered to bring some small mods back for me that he can fit in his suitcase, that also won't break the bank...

So far I've got a modifry dash bracket, and I'm considering either a moddiction anvil 2 or a CR shifter knob.

Any other smallish things you guys can think of?

Car Analogy

To me, the real value of an aftermarket shift knob is its heft. The weight really aids smooth shifting. Its mass has a sort of damping effect, and the extra momentum powers through any resistance variations in effort.

So a light weight aluminum or titanium knob is the opposite of what you want, while a stainless steel is the epitome of what you want. Go with the Anvil...

Other small suitcasable mofs that come to mind are appearance things like led bulbs, clear side markers.

A Billman tct! But you'd have to have an old one to send with your friend for the core return.

Diff collars

Steering rack stiffeners

Subframe collars

Engalls engine damper

Suspension bushings, especially the compliance bushing which wears out first

Axle spacers if you are lowered

$80 eBay painted Rear lip spoiler if its a big suitcase. It would be light enough.

eBay led bumper fog lights (ap2)

Brake pads of your choice

Braided steel brake lines (personally I think these aren't useful on our cars, stock lines aready quite good)

eBay side strakes

Badges, maybe Type R red badges, or the eBay carbon fiber badge inserts (red or black)

Steering wheel Type R badge

Ricks S badges (replace Honda H badge on front, rear, and or steering wheel with an S badge)

Modifry top straps

Obviously not all this stuff is gonna fit in his suitcase. But pick from this list any things you might actually want. Not sure if any of these things would fail MOT.

For things like suspension bushes and geo bolts, in the UK we have companies that specialse in honda parts, do you have similar website in USA? Or is it cheaper to get oem stuff from the dealer?

I like the modifry cup holder that mounts to the existing mounting holes on the passenger side transmission tunnel. (will it work with right hand drive? - check his website).

Also does anyone know where to get a cheap upgraded drop in filter (not k&n) , itg, spoon, mugen, cosworth or pipercross for example.

GoTuning Unlimited is in Anaheim (think Disneyland) and is the Authorized Spoon distributor in the USA. Just have your friend stop in there if he's in Southern California and there will be TONS of goodies he could bring back. Drop in filter, coil cover, shift knobs, radiator stays, radiator caps, oil caps, magnetic drain bolts, etc.

Car Analogy

There are Honda dealers here that specialize in online sales, with prices much cheaper than if you walk in to a dealership parts dept. But shipping isn't cheap, so for less expensive stuff, unless buying other parts too, its often cheaper to walk in to local dealer.

The one on the East Coast that I use is called Majestic Honda. They have a great online store with all the exploded diagrams of parts, and Honda part numbers (well, Honda USA part numbers).

There is probably one on or near West Coast, so shipping will be faster and cost less.

Don't forget about clear side markers, nice custom touch and fairly cheap even from the dealer.
