Default Installing ap2 OEM lip

I searched, but could not find a DIY on this...but I'm sure many of you have done this on your own. I'm gonna pick up an OEM ap2 lip and install this weekend, but would like these questions answered before I start.

From my understanding, there are 4 screws that hold the ends of the lip which need to be screwed into the front bumper in the front wheel wells (two on each side). The lip is also held by double sided tape (3M, gorilla tape, etc) in the center where the lip rests on the bumper. Are there holes in the lip that bolt up underneath the car to the plastic panels that protect your engine from road debris? If so, do you use the existing bolts or do you need longer ones to accommodate the lip? Are there any additional points where the double sided tape would be necessary/beneficial to help hold the lip to the bumper?

Thanks everyone! Any reference pics would be wonderful!

Did your lip come with all the hardware? When mine was installed, I had to screw in the four holes like you described and everything else bolted to the bumper. It fit so well that I didn't need to use the double sided tape.

If its oem than no tape required. Everything bolts in besides the side screws.

Yeah it's definitely OEM. No tape huh? Nice, I guess I'm heading back down to the garage then...

^This, the tape comes installed ready to go if you buy OEM. The OEM package also comes with the hardware you need. It should come with the bolts and nuts needed to screw the lip onto the underside of the bumper as well as the self tapping screws (4 total) needed to tighten it to the wheel well area. It's a quick and easy installation. If it doesn't come with hardware, you can easily get what you need from Lowe's or Home Depot (or even sitting in you garage somewhere).

Good luck and good choice!

I installed mine exactly as the instructions directed. Easy and fast and I did use the 3m double sided tape and all the hardware that came with it. Just follow the direction and you will have a perfect install.

OEM does. It makes for a much cleaner look. Or you could buy it separately for around $15 from Honda.
