hi, i just got my s2000 last week. i was looking into buying an intake but don't know which one to get. i need one with more performance than sound.

I like the K&N FIPK. Good price, good quality, sounds great.

ASM/J's type will get you the most gains (not measurable on dyno, only while at speed on the road). Most other intakes will give a little gain in midrange but will give you no more than a few hp.

Honestly, unless your rich, or just don't mind spending $1k for a few HP, the FIPK is the best option IMO.

I got one a few weeks ago and love it. It looks nice, gives decent gains, and the design isn't going to suffer from heat issues or sucking up water.

to be honest, the original intake is very well designed. if u plan to get an after market one, i would think that sound ought to be a priority, else better to just stay stock...
