Default Intake choice

I had a short ram k an n intake, I'm switching to a cold air and I don't know which one is better. Either the injen colas air intake or the aem v2 intake. Any one have any recomendations.

AEM V2 has been shown to make some of the highest gains
I am happy with mine.

Try the countless existing threads. There's really very little difference among most of the options.

Define what you mean by "better". Better is subjective no matter what the topic. If you want to minimize chances of hydrolocking then what you currently have is better.

i look at it this way, i honestley dont trust a plastic threaded intake for a nitrous nozzle to be tapped into. i rather have a metal one. also my friends ap2 has cold air, 70mm tp and greddy tic and we raced from a 40 and he got me by a car. my mods where k an n short ram 70m tp, t1r v3 single. im also pairing the aem v2 with a plm header and 55 shot

Just have to be careful when it rains. Follow a few precautions and you will never hydro-lock w/ the V2.

If I had it to do over again, I would go with one of the "filter on a stick" intakes (AEM V1 or V2, Fujita, Injen, K&N Typhoon) instead of my PWJDM. I had the AEM V1 on my '02 S2000, and was very happy with it. I believe the AEM V2 has its "resonant hump" higher in the rev range (4000 RPMs?), but I think all the others have the hump at 3500 RPMs.

I use to have the AEM V2, it sounded sweet. Now I'm running the CT, I wished I would have kept the V2 instead.
