A buddy of mine has a MY06 which is stock besides the FIPK intake. We took turns driving his car around town for a while, then I got back into my car (MY08 bone stock) and drove it just as hard to compare. I must say it felt like the FIPK gave it more throttle response, sounds badass, revs a lot quicker.

After that I couldn't live without the intake so ordered it that day and waiting for it to come in.

I had an AEM V2 Cold Air Intake for about 6 months during rain and all and had no issues. And the main way to get hydrolock is by submerging intake into water, but just rain on it will not cause hydrolock!

I had the AEM v1 in my AP1 and drove in heavy rain and not hydrolocked. For it to happen it must be submerged.

Still no dyno charts for the Fujita.... i like the FIPK because of the ease of maintenance and installation(no cutting), but ive always had CAI and so im interested in the Injen , Fujita...

lets see...

Pfft, it rains and floods much more here in Houston than in most other places and a good number of us run with Fujitas. Just use common sense. Plug the hole over your intake and/or use an umbrella to prevent hydrolock from rain (yes, it can happen this way) and don't submerge the intake/filter.

If you're getting a CAI for power you'll be disappointed. Better sound & throttle response, sure...

If anybody is looking for a K&N 63 series, I will sell one cheap. It spent 5 months / 800 miles on my MY07. I traded the car, so I removed the intake. It's like new. PM me if interested.

the fujita, injen, aem are all pretty much the same exact intake. all perform only slightly better than the fipk. a couple hp or so.

so just pick which type you like best and get it. if you live in heavy rain, the fipk might be the better choice.
