Intake pipe Split.
Hello all,
My OEM intake pipe has split on my 2005 AP1 facelift, just before where it attaches to the throttle body, It happened while removing it to perform maintenance, and to be honest I'm not surprised, its 19 year old rubber.
Any recommendations on a replacement? I was looking at a cold air intake but I cant trust UK weather and the puddles that cover the roads often.
Any advice appreciated, sorry if there is another recent post similar to this or if this is the wrong place.

Stock airbox out performs any hot air intake. The only true CAI locate filter outside engine bay, which makes it subject to water ingestion, as you noted.
Only thing these intakes give is sound. You can achieve some additional sound with mods to stock airbox.
The intake hose, you can look for a well cared for used one. Or buy new from Honda.
Or you could replace it with an aftermarket silicone hose (smooth external appearance, no performance gain, as stock hose smooth inside. But silicone hose should last forever)

I went with the Ballade sports intake hose.
I'm using the stock airbox with some of the mods to increase induction noise, so i thought an aftermarket hose would be the best bet.
Thank you for your assistance.
