Gonna bump this since I have this exhaust waiting to be installed and need some advice.

Did you guys use any penetrating oil, lube, etc. to get the y-pipe into the mufflers? I started to use the whole rotate and press motion, but I think I don't think it is completely in. Also did you guys do get the mufflers connected to the y-pipe before installing it onto the car?

Its been more than 3 years since I installed my V3 and I didn't use any penetrating oil to connect anything. Personally, I removed both back wheels and used a broom handle to pry the stock mufflers off the hangers and I (best recollection) pry the V3's back on. This is not saylng you must remove your wheels to do the install because I really don't know if this was necessary or not . The mufflers at the Y use clamps to secure. Install from the front and work your way back, put the clamps in place loosely and adjust the desired height and depth then secure the clamps. Done.

LOL, I definitely had that coming.

Any other tips on connecting the y-pipe to the mufflers?

Nice, and IT IS LOUD! I had it for 1 year and sold it. Can't stand the loudness even with their 70TP + header.

Hope you enjoy the invidia and remember to drop the top...for the loudest!!

I think it is rated as THE loudest out there for the S2000. i never heard anyone else say how load a Greddy is. get me? Understand LOUD, or get rid of it. I have the Invidia Header, cel fix pipe, and cat back dual n1 Ti tip. All 70mm or 2.75 in. Good luck with the instal.

i put the handle of a hammer in mine and did a little shaking until it loosened up enough for the other pipe to slide in.
