I dont think it's too similar to stock, it's definitely deeper and stronger sounding, just not overwhelming. The n1 will be very loud at any rpm range, so if you want that go with the n1

Ok one more question for those that have either experienced or owned one or both of these exhaust systems.

Sound wise, if 1 is our stock and 10 is the N1, where would the Q300 fall on the loudness scale of 1 to 10?

I say its around 5-6
the n1 is just crazy in vtec... night and day difference from the Q300

but just for daliy driving, i say its around a 3 compared to the n1

I have the q300 with stock cat on my 06 and it sounds great. I always have people who compliment on the way it sounds. I get a lot of people asking why the tips are burnt and does it mean I race it lol (ti-tips). On a scale of 1-10 its a 4 cruising and like a 7 at full throttle. It sounds awesome inside of the car. With my FIPK and the exhaust its the perfect tone for me. Coming from owning 15 Hondas in 8 years ranging from a b-series turbo integra and a h22 civic, loud exhausts get annoying IMO.

Thanks guys, very helpful. Especially the youtube videos. It looks like the only thing left is to decide which tips to go with lol. The oval stock looking ones or the aftermarket style with the burnt tips.

Thanks again guys

I have the 70mm N1 single, and a 70mm test pipe, and I love it, but then again I'm not old and crabby like 80% of the people on this forum.
