I just received my invidia header for my ap2. I also have the q300 exhaust that was installed yesterday. I wanna hear from individuals who had Personal experience with this header as far as performance, fit, and finish quality.

 

shouldnt you have asked this before you bought it?

 

I noticed that people only say what they hear from other people and not personal experience.

 

You're our tester. Let us know your impressions. Few of us have the test track and dyno facilities of the Mighty Car Mods guys so what we hear is important.

I suspect guys who drop a lot of money on stuff like this are not likely to have negative reviews as that makes their decision making questionable.

I have installed the q300 exhaust and test pipe from invidia. It was a lot louder than I hoped for. I was not able to drive it due to vehicle still up in the garage.

The next day the invidia header arrived and went to install but the mounting holes on the header did not line up perfectly with the studs on the head so I was not able to complete the install.

Dissapointed I am returning the header for a refund. Up close the quality on this header is not what I expected. Piping diameter appears to be the same as stock almost just prettier and lighter. I will search for another piece. I know, many will say you get what you pay for.

(I was asking for personal opinions first cause I didn't want to start off with a negative note. )

The exhaust however ever was installed easily and I am happy with that. I am now running the q300 exhaust with stock cat and header and is a lot quieter.

 

I can't say I am surprised. Invidia's stuff is low quality from the parts I have seen and I have heard a Q300 with a test pipe before and it sounds awful. I had their test pipe and their cell fix didn't work.

 

yeah agreed. Sound was bad with test pipe. But test pipe was not on there long enough to confirm if cell fix worked or not.
