First off the 4.57's are garbage that's why they arent being produced unless you like lots of gear whine, the ring and pinion doesn't have a proper fit. There are only 2 proper FD combos and possibly a 3rd - the 4.4, 4.77 and the 4.67 possibly. For your Ap2 you need to read the threads about mph/rpm in each gear. The 4.77's would make your car annoying at best, stick to the 4.4's The video you posted is for a completely different engine, transmission combo than yours. You need to understand the ap1 f20c engine and gearbox is not the same as your ap2 derived f22 engine and gearbox.
Also I am not sure why no one has brought this up but J's racing uses the Kia produced ring and pinions which you can buy for 270 on kia parts instead.
thanks for the info! i wasnt too sure about that. but yes i was talking to a fellow member and he said for the ap2 the best choice eould be the 4.44, so more then likely i will go with that. i am still conversating with him, trying to gain further knowledge.
lol just curious why u said "completely ruin it" im trying to do sumthing different other then intake headers exhaust, which would cost me the same
1k header which wont really do anything vs 1k gear ratio, which im hoping will help drastically

Select AP2 in the drop down box and under Axle Ratio, enter in the gear set.
4.77s in an AP2 =
1st gear - 31.7mph
2nd - 48.5mph
3rd - 67mph
4th - 85.5mph
5th - 105.3mph
6th - 129.8mph
Pretty bad. 4.77s are much better suited for AP1s than AP2s.
And I think thats what he means by completely ruining it. You'll have to shift constantly.
Select AP2 in the drop down box and under Axle Ratio, enter in the gear set.

top of 3rd and barely being over 60mph? lol yikes. I have 4.77s on my AP1 and I think they are a tad too short tbh. I think 4.57s would have been perfect, but I picked up a set of Kia gears for $200, so I bit the bullet. Honestly I still LOVE my gears, they are great. I drove a stock geared AP1 and it felt sluggish off the line and felt like it took forever to get through the RPM band.
However this is with an AP1. I have 1k extra RPM and my transmission is 5% longer than the AP2s as well. I would NEVER put 4.77s in an AP2. Ideally I would put the ap2 tranny in my ap1 and put 4.44s or 4.57s (at most) in the diff.
With your AP2, go with what the others are saying and grab some 4.44s (which will still be shorter than my 4.77s)
Check out that gear calculator:
I put in my wheel size of 255/35/18 for both.
AP1 w/ 4.77s || AP2 w/ 4.44s
1st - 37mph || 1st - 34mph
2nd - 57mph || 2nd - 53mph
3rd - 79mph || 3rd - 73mph
4th - 101mph || 4th - 93mph
5th - 121mph || 5th - 114mph
6th - 145mph || 6th - 141mph
As you can see, AP2s with 4.44s are still shorter than my AP1 with 4.77s
Granted, I have 1000 extra RPMs, an AP1 with 4.77s will shift at the exact same time as a stock geared AP2, says the calculator and my experience with running through a few gears with a stock geared AP2. Only difference is that they are shifting at 8k and Im shifting at 9k.
