I bought a set of J's Racing diff,engine, and tranny magnetic drain bolts. And the transmission and engine drain plug are the same...is this correct? The invoice that came with the package shows a different part number for each.

 

yes they are the same thread pattern but i know some drain bolts have a longer magnetic tip from what i understand the longer one goes in the engine ...someone correct me if im wrong

 

nope tip is the same also both are ~1/4" long
