Default J's Racing Torque damper - Worth the money or not?

Seen a few cars featured and on the web with J's Racing torque damper fitted, know the science makes sence 'to reduce transmission stress by preventing engine vibration at high RPM ensuring more direct and efficient power transfer' (to use a quote).

But Id like to hear peoples views on weather its ott for road use ie non-track use, would it be a waste of money for something that would just look good and not see anykind of benefit unless really pushing the engine.

There are other brands that may be worth the $$ since they are cheaper but it wouldnt be my first choice for a mod

don't have the j's racing one, but do have the puddy ETD. Upon initial istallation, the throttle response seemed to get a little better

I had a Spoon ETD with the puddymod mount for 2 years and didn't feel a thing. It's an engine torque damper, so you have to ask, what torque are you dampening?

I think the "torque you are dampening" would be the twist of the motor when you rev it. Seems like this would take some of the stress off the motor mount.

I thought about doing this mod as well, especially for boosted cars with more power the engine will have even more movement between red line shifts.

Or if you have upgraded clutch or PP, it should help as well.

But ultimately, I belief that motor mount inserts are the best solution if you truly think you have the need to reduce engine vibration. The ETD seems to be a band-aid fix comparing to doing the motor mount inserts.
