Default JDM Navi Benzel?

This is mainly addressed to all the RHD s2k that came with the JDM Navi or anyone that has already did this for LHD....I have some questions concerning about the JDM Navi Benzel...im about to purchase it on GoTuning.com and i know i am going to have to cut out the shape of the benzel to make it fit but my concern is how is it held on from factory for all the guys that came with it from factory?...do i have to use double sided 3m tape or is there a bracket for it? reason why im asking is because based off the pics they have on their website, its the benzel only...thanks in advance

This is my previous JDM AP1 and my 7" galaxy tab that i replaced the JDM navi with... you see that dashboard has holes to clip the bezel into (which you wont have as they are part of the dash)

finsihes it looked like that (awesome with OBD2 adapter and torque app on he 7" tab)

So i think you will have to come up with some sort of bracket to hold it all together...

oh wow i never knew that...thats a clean setup with the tablet btw...i know that the benzel points slightly towards the right due to the fact that its for RHD but is that clip or bracket really built into the RHD dash or can u remove it? if its removable, I'm gonna need that bracket/clip

Yeah the bracket to hold the JDM bezel is part of the car (dash) so you going to have to make your own somehow but it shouldnt be too much trouble (i 've seen it done on USDM s2000 before)..

To hold the tablet in place I re-used the old metal brackets (attached to the original navi screen) and just turned them around and cut a slot in one for the charging cable so the table was just sitting there but the bezel would stop it from moving etc.

also got one of those 12V -> USB chargers and mounted that under the dash to the inginition on cable so whenever you turn the car on the tablet would charge and wake up from sleep.

Only thing is you kind of want a tablet with physical button on the front and not those soft keys to wake it up etc while driving.. (not sure if the new 7" samsung nexus has those)

otherwise the torque app and one of those OBD2 bluetooth adapters work flawlessly and also GPS gets strong signal even when inside the dash...

unfortunately dont have any more photos..that was my first JDM ap1 (which i have written off ..now i have UKDM ap1 which doesnt have navi screen. To mount the nexus you will definitely need to either get JDM bezel or make one.

have a look here what it will involve for you https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/142...-cutting-club/
