Default jerky motion when foot off the gas

at low rpm and low geras, when I let go of the gas, car is slowed down by engine. But if I press gas right after that and let off again, sometimes I get the car jerk back and forth in an rithmic motion, and the motion will continue unless I press gas to power over the motion. I'm just wondering if that's a sign that the clutch is going?

Just the nature of a lightweight flywheel.

It sounds like your driving is doing that. Try driving smooth or get someone experienced to drive your car?

Need to use more finesse with the gas/clutch pedals.

Driveline slop makes this worse. Check your motor and transmission mounts. Your car's approaching 10 years old. Maybe you need new ones. The more slop you have in the mounts, the more the car will buck instead of doing a smooth engine brake. Same thing for the differential mounts.

Also check your throttle cable if its too tight that can happen(get a mechanic to)

What is this slop you are talking about for the mounts? What should I be looking for when looking at them?

I adjusted the cable awhile ago, and I'm running out thread for the locknut, I just barely tighten it though (just enough so the cable is straight). Before the adjustment, my gas pedal has a lot of play. I would have to press down the pedal a bit before I get any response from the engine.

Try untightening the cable a bit first then, if the throttle cable is too tight and the engine flexes/torques under acceleration it could be pulling the cable and be causing the jerking.
