Default Just another Exhaust Thread

Greetings everyone, ive been reading, researching and scoping out on which exhaust to get on an s2000, but im having trouble deciding between the plethora of options and was looking for some help. Im looking for an exhaust that pairs well with F/I (will be doing so in the future) has a nice deep tone, but without an absurd amount of drone, as its a DD. i like the sound of J's racing 70 RR, but everywhere says the drone is terrible, so i turned to HKS, and getting a bunch of different opinions, i dont want to make a purchase, then regret it because my ears are bleeding, any help would be great

pls no flame for another exhaust post, i know there are many, ive seen and read a ton of them

What is your budget? If you want something not too loud an exhaust with no resonator (the 70rr) is not a great idea regardless.

70RR will make your ears bleed. I find the HKS 75mm single fairly tolerable for a single.

If it's a DD I'd probably look into a dual honestly.

Then order an Amuse Euro S in 70mm. It’s far quieter than the J’s and HKS while cruising and opens up great at high RPM

Ah, you know I bet it is since Amuse is going through those legal issues.

Maybe I should list my 70mm Euro S for more money when it goes up for sale next month lol. It's definitely the best balance of sound I've heard in a single exhaust for the S.

I love both of mine. They are hands down the best sounding exhausts I've heard for these cars. They make it sound like a proper Japanese sports car. If I'm being honest I prefer the 60mm on the AP1 over the 70mm on the AP2, it just sounds more refined and mellow.

The T1R 70EM single is still a great option from Evasive. I've had 3-4 of these among all of my S2000s over the years and always been a fan. Not too loud for normal driving but it can scream up top if you want.
