Default just another intake thread

Well christmas has come and my funds have been replenished and now i can finally do something intake wise. I have been back and forth between several different options. First off I have $300-$400 to work with and i have the seibon ts style hood. so the fipk is out, due to rain running through the vent onto the filter. I like the aem but being in florida i hav eopted to not get that style for hydrolock reasons. So i have narrowed it down to a snorkel, of the mugen style. and i need a cooling plate. The setup i most like would be the j's racing cooling plate, with the j's racing snorkel but that together is around 500 and i might as well get the mugen style one, but i am unsure about the hood clearance, i know i would have to cut the hood, but looking at it i think the vent would be in the way. Can anyone help me decide, or provide better suggestions? any input would be great!

i have a snorkel and k&n drop in filter it gets the job done and doesn't really make the car louder. you can only feel the improvement when your moving though( but thats when you want it). you can get a filter for $50 and find a snorkel for under $200 if you don't need a name brand
