americandrug,

Sounds more like it was surface condition than contact patch..even if you go fatter, it'll slide just as much - some will say it'll slide even MORE. Just have the right tires on there (not sticky r-comps if in slushy stuff).

Sounds like it'll be a fun ride though. I'm still messing with the idea of going fatter non-staggered rims...

it was sand and small gravel that was on the road, ( I was ahead of him on the drive with guys from SC) He had a little run in with a curb earlier, and had a run in with a rail later, was not a good day other than curb and rail. Glad ur ok man, 17x9 is gonna be sick tryin to get to Layton status? haha can't wait to see what it's gonna look like. Here's some pics from the trip
