I have that installed too, and I totally agree that this is the best mod.
When you have your gas paddle all the way down, (full throttle), the sounds is just unbelievable!
Just by the sound, it feels like it gains 10 hp...hhehee.(I am sure there are some minor gain on hps, but should not be 10 that much)

To anyone who wants their stock s2000 feels little bit different, but don't want to make a big mod, this is it. DIY and it's easy, K&N has the best customer service ever.

for some reason, my product was missing 8 bolts after I was in the last couple of steps, so I was so mad about K&N, and call them that 8 bolts was missing. However, the customer service guy immediately said that they will ship it and should have it by tomorrow. I was surprised he made such a quick respond and promise, anyway... I doubt it will arrive that quickly.

next morning, DHL or Fedex...forgot which one, show up at my door, with 8 bolts inside. WOW!!! SUPER FAST. they send it with the 1 day shipment. Very happy that I can finish the work that morning and drove my car.

My S has a cable throttle and I tightened the slack off prior to the K&N install. After the install, I absolutely felt a distinctive difference in throttle response. I think since you have a electronic throttle, you might try resetting the ECU.

Ordered mine wednesday and got it today. At this point I don't even care if I ever heard from the seller. Mine came directly from K&N as well. Install tomorrow. Should be fun.

Sounds great dude. You shouldn't have any problems with the install, the directions are pretty straight forward.

I'm about to order this intake on ebay...from xtremeperformanceparts USA for my 07, but their description says 2000-2004. The part number is 57-3514 so would it be the same thing for my car?

Since we both have the same F22C engine (minus the cable throttle), I believe it's the same one. That's also the part number that was shipped to me. Here's a few pics of the kit installed along with some home brew heat insulation

I'm going to ordering an AEM dry flow filter soon and I'll offer up the pictured K&N filter for sale shortly.

Did anyone that installed this have to drill that hole that they mention in the instructions?

Just installed mine today as well... i didn't expect it to sound that loud! Thankfully all the right noises appear only after 4K, so it doesn't annoy me while DD-ing
