k&n intake questions

Unhappy k&n intake questions

i bought a k&n intake system and gutted the OEM intake box and all, can i just keep it how it is or do i need to buy a snorkel for it? i know this is probably a dumb question but i just got my s2k and i really need some answers ,.. i basically just need to know what else i need besides the k&n intake system i just bought, thanks guyz

You're going to put a K&N intake in and keep the OEM air box? what?
Do you mean to say that you just bought a drop-in K&N filter?

Anyhow...no, a snorkle is not a requirement in any case.

if you got the drop in filter, and gutted the air box, well you don't need a snorkel, but it would help. i have that setup on my car. i have the snorkel, k&n drop in filter and a apr cooling plate.

Follow the installation instructions on your FIPK. You will see that you remove the stock airbox and airtube in order to install the FIPK.

No need for snorkel with FIPK.

i had the FIPK and it is great out of the box, but i would recommend getting a cooling plate with a hole in front of the intake. no snorkel needed.
