K24/K20 swap - Retaining AC
Does anyone know of a credible solution to keeping AC when doing a k swap in an S2000? I’ve searched and searched and it doesn’t seem like the aftermarket has come up with anything of note.
I’ve been told the compressor won’t work on the k series engine. I’m not sure why but that’s why I started searching for a solution. I’ll brand new at this k swap business unfortunately.
Talk to someone at KMiata, maybe, or Andy (ASM) in Wisconsin.
They should be able to offer guidance.
My assumption is that you just use a K series compressor and customise the lines. That'd be the way I would go about it.
The F series compressor likely doesn't bolt onto a K series bracket. Maybe you can find a way to do so...but that seems like a more difficult solution. The advantage to doing it this way, however, is that you don't need to go get your AC evacuated and then vacuum'd and refilled.
Hopefully, you're planning to go to a shop to have them evacuate the gas....

I thought about reaching out to Andy for sure. Absolutely. Don’t want anyone breathing that in. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hey! Don't suppose you're still working on this issue, but...
I'm in the process of doing this swap using a JDM K24A. I'm going to use a K20Z3 (8th gen Civic Si) compressor, and I'm having a local AC fabricator/specialist weld on the K-series AC line ends to the S2000 OEM AC lines. I'll post photos in my build thread when I'm done.
