Default Kill Switch Help

I am pretty naff with electrics so require some help wiring up my kill switch on my track car. Currently i have it wired up as pictured below. This is not cutting the engine straight off, just the battery side of the electrics. Do i need to wire it into the alternator or fuel pump for it to shut the engine off straight away? Pictures of said wires would be much appreciated! TIA.

So the 2 cables, one coming from the main fuse box under the bonnet joined to one side of the switch.

Then i have the Battery side main cable, the jumper wire and the resistor which is earthed. (will be earthed somewhere else)

The fuel & ignition. The present set-up is not cutting my engine off.

This is how I did mine. Locate fueL pump power with a multimeter. Cut wire in half. Add a switch and fuse. Same goes for ignition. Iv had these switchs for close to a year and not single fuse burned up. I tapped into my ignition( the key). Tapping into altenator will not kill the car.
