One click away from buy the K&N fipk setup but really wondering if it truly improves performance that much. Anyone out there have experience with it? Aldo did it improve mileage?

I wouldn't say that the intake alone will make a lot of power. Maybe increase by 2-3hp? My car came with the K&N intake, which looks nicer, easier to clean, and makes a better sound over stock. You can pair the intake with an exhaust, headers, and a tune to get noticeable improvements lol. Its a stepping stone.

I've seen results on this site showing a 7whp increase just from dropping in a K&N filter over the stock one, so I wouldn't say 9whp gains arent possible, but dont expect to be like WOAH the power from this intake is crazy! You probably wont feel anything honestly. The best part about that intake is the sound. The sound is intoxicating, best sounding intake by far.
However if you are looking for top performing intake, the AEM v2 makes better power than the K&N, especially in the lower rpm range.

Nice intake. Only thing you will notice though is the sound. Anything else will be a placebo effect. It does seem to gain a few hp but most likely from the higher flowing k&n filters since they filter less than a stock filter.
I used to have one when I was NA and I liked the sound of it a lot.
