K&N FIPK Question Please Help
I just bought an K&N FIPK, and when inspecting it out of the box, I found that the intake tube had a rough spot on the inside (in the opening closest to the throttle body)
I took some pictures - sorry its a little blurry because my cheap camera could not focus well on it.
Its on the inside, in the 6 o'clock position - It looks like a blob formed because it melted under heat or something

So is this normal? Or should it be smooth there? The rest of the pipe is super smooth, including the inside where the tubes are.
Thanks for your help

LOL its not worth it to ship it back.. You'll never notice the difference or see the inside of the tube once its installed..
Thanks for all the replies
It seems like people is saying its not normal, but I should just keep it anyways because It won't make a difference.
I was thinking the same thing at first, to just sand it down the best I can and just keep it. I usually keep stuff I get by mail even If there is a slight problem.
But then again, I'm not in a hurry to put this on my car (although I am very excited to install it) because I don't have a track event till...the 11th. And If I payed close to $300 dollars for a product, might as well get one in good shape. I am also working with the company I got it from, they are very understanding, and will send me another one.
Last thing I was thinking was that If I do sell this intake one day down the road, I would have to potentially explain to a buyer that "I got it that way..."
