Default K&N Intake question.

Hello everyone!

Well I've decided to get an intake as my first mod for my stock 04S2K. I was wondering which one does everybody uses? I've searched on ebay that there are an 63 and 57 and I am not sure which one I should be getting. Any suggestions about these two intake will be a great help! Thanks.

Here are the links below.

They're the same physically. The 57 is CARB approved, so if you live in CA or a state that has adopted CA smog laws it will be legal. Buy the 57 if you want to sell it later someone in CA can buy it from oh since it has the CARB sticker.

Alright, thanks! Good thing I asked because I live in CA and I was aiming for the 63 instead.

The 2 models of the K&N are dependant on the year of your car according to K&N. I don't know if there are any physical differences between the two.

If you have an 00-03 then you will need to purchase the 00-03 version. If you have an 04-07 then you'll need to purchase this one 04-07.

However, and this is just advice, amazon has the same products and may offer better shipping and at times a better price

The K&N 57 can be used on 04S2K as well I believe, since it did say it on the description. Could someone clarify that?

Ya I'm not sure. I just listened to Amazon and other car sites that have you put in the make/model/year of your car while browsing.

I can only speak to personal experience, I ordered a K&N 57-3514 Fuel Injection Performance Kit Gen2 Air Intake Kit for my 02' and it fit perfectly.

If you're worried about smog, then you have to buy the part number that corresponds with your year car. Conflicting eo numbers with your year will fail your test. If you're going to switch to oem for carb then it doesnt matter which part number you use
